 PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:   

Acting as customer advocate within Qualitel for assigned Customer accounts, Qualitel A.M.’s are responsible for ensuring the customer continually receives professional world-class service from all Qualitel departments and personnel.

Management of assigned customer account responsibilities include;

  • Providing communication between assigned customers and all other Qualitel Departments and personnel as necessary.
  • Working with Materials and Production Control, Plan & Schedule assigned account orders
  • Managing all assigned account RFQ’s by coordinating with Engineering
  • Providing and documenting Feedback on Qualitel-Customer relationship
  • Providing regular materials status reports to customer and ensuring Qualitel manages customer inventory liabilities appropriately with regards to, raw, WIP, reserved, Finished Goods, excess and obsolete.
  • Providing sales information on assigned accounts such as monthly sales, bookings, On time delivery, and forecasts.
  • Identifying new opportunities and using these to increasing sales with assigned accounts
  • Taking appropriate actions to resolve quality issues related to service and product, such as initiating CAPA’s, when necessary.
  • Reporting to senior management account status as required

A.M. accountabilities also include working to achieve all department objectives and goals set by senior management, following all company policies and procedures, and fostering a positive and constructive attitude with all company personnel and customers.

SUCCESS FACTORS:   

Factor # 1 – Department Basics – In the first 30 days, you will partner with other CAMs and/or the CAM Lead to learn the basics of our account management system.

  • Read and understand department procedures and work instructions
  • Develop a basic understanding of shop departments, work flow, and key individuals.
  • Display basic department working knowledge of ERP system such as Order Entry, Confirmation Forms, Work Order Status, Running and Understanding Reports used by CAM group.

Factor # 2 – Beginning to manage your own accounts – By 30 days, you will take on management of your first account.  Between months 2 through 6 you will be assigned additional accounts until your account load is similar to that of other CAMs.

  • After 4 to 6 weeks, be able to successfully handle a customer account with only minimal assistance.
  • After 90 days, be able to handle a minimum of 2-3 customer accounts with only occasional need for assistance.
  • After 90 days, complete signed copies of all required training on procedures and work instructions.
  • Continue to develop and display deeper working knowledge of ERP and system tools. Develop full understanding of Material Analysis, RMA, SCAR/CAPA, RFQ, ECO, Process Deviation, and MRB processes and their impact on other departments.  Ensure timely execution of all processes.
  • Successfully manage and coordinate resources internally and at customer to ensure goals for Quality, On-Time Delivery (OTD), and Customer Feedback scores are being fully met..

Factor # 3 – Advanced Account and Program Management – By 12 months, be fully capable and responsible for coordinating all aspects of Account and Program Management.

  • Be an active participant in suggesting improvements to our systems and processes.
  • Display working knowledge of customer product lines, customer project details and timelines, and projected requirements.
  • Coordinate agendas and prepare materials for customer visits and lead periodic Business Reviews.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

Data Analyst has overall responsibility for analyzing all costs and pricing at Qualitel with the purpose of finding cost reduction and variance opportunities.  This will include:

 

  • Costing and pricing analysis & variance reporting
  • Analysis of actual, standard, and quoted costs for labor and materials.
  • Analyze variances for sales orders, purchase orders, and work orders to quoted costs and standards
  • Analyze expenses and COGS
  • Providing managers and team with clear, understandable and useful reports and metrics
  • Using data and relevant analysis, advises manager on improvement of profit margins, and cost of goods and services.
  • Review, interpret, analyze and communicates important financial information to President and leadership team.

 

Search Criteria:

 

       MUSTS:

 

  • Experience with data/financial analysis, and specifically with product/job costing, variance analysis, profit margin analysis.

 

  • Using advance functions in Excel and Pivot Tables.

 

  • Experience with accessing complex data from SQL and Access databases and translating this understandable language for operating personnel.

 

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, and preferably a component/assembly environment.

 

  • Experience with setting up and working with cost methods in ERP

 

  • Demonstrated ability to make operational and management decisions in response to changing conditions and emergencies.

 

  • Ability to effectively interface and team with all levels of an organization, and to maintain positive, constructive relationships with operating personnel.

 

  • Exceptional interpersonal communications skills, including strong verbal and writing ability; presentation skills; ability to listen “actively” and to calibrate communication style to all levels of the company for maximum effectiveness.

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, accounting, supply chain or related.

FIRST 3 to 6 MONTHS:

 

  • Analyze costs and profit margins for the current customers, major product lines, and top gross margin products.
  • Help implement cost analysis system that can quickly provide profit margin by product by Compares quotes to actuals to provide variances from WO to Sales Order.
  • Analyze top 3 COGS accounts
  • Fix found system costing issues and variances as identified
  • Provide existing weekly and monthly dashboard and metrics

 

 

BETWEEN 6 to 12 MONTHS:

 

  • Analysis of all COGS and expenses
  • Complete analysis of profit margins for all products and new products introduced.
  • Analyze costings for Express division
  • Improve existing dashboard and metrics
  • Provide better analysis timely and identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Provide accurate profitability and variances by work orders and by item.
  • Clean up labor and materials variances on financial statement

 

 

AFTER 12 MONTHS:

 

  • Have a cost analysis system that will identify profitability for all new products and existing products that other can use.
  • Update a cost model that Qualitel can use to quote include labor and materials burden rate.
  • Qualitel has a system that can effectively review variances timely.
  • Set up automated reports and alerts with IT

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Determining/setting Production Work Order (WO) schedules and priority based on combination of customer need, material availability and internal resource capacity (labor and equipment).
  • Performs customer new order Labor Confirmation function as part of the Customer PO Confirmation process, by analyzing current bookings, labor/equipment availability and projected labor capacity.
  • Aids in determining future labor & equipment requirements based on projected sales and current bookings.
  • Coordinating and Communicating all Production Schedule information between various company departments and functions such as Program Management, Materials/Purchasing, Stockroom, Manufacturing, Test, QA, and Engineering.
  • Using ERP and other system tools to Plan, Create, Revise and Maintain Master Production Schedule and weekly detail Schedule
  • Developing and documenting new Scheduling/Planning function Procedures and Work Instructions
  • Responsible for Creating, Posting and maintaining effective Visual Work Place tools relating to Scheduling/Planning.
  • Reporting to senior management Schedule and Capacity related information as required.

  • Within the first 90 days synchronize the A3 investigation team to drive improvements.
  • Through Root Cause training, Root Cause support and A3 process, reduce scrap rate and customer returns by 50% within the first year.
  • Drives improvements to existing manufacturing processes, technical functional issues and customer related requests to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Within the first 90 days be proficient in providing Quality reports internal and external created through data driven information.

Key Responsibilities & Duties Include;

  • Analyze Non-conforming product and returned product and recommend effective corrective and preventative actions. Help to drive and implement these actions when necessary.
  • Interface with customers and coordinate internal efforts to correct process deficiencies. Ensure timely resolution of quality problems and help implement long-term solutions through A3 and 8D methodology improving processes and practices to prevent reoccurrence of problems.
  • Coordinate with customers to define what quality data and metrics must be collected and shared with each customer regularly. Ensure this data is sent to each customer as required.
  • Use the customer data to drive improvements, preventative actions, and communicate these actions to affected customers.
  • Perform complex assignments to develop, apply, and maintain quality requirements for processing components and other materials into finished goods and products.
  • Design and implement Methods, Procedures, and Process Controls to ensure the quality level and requirements for products are consistently met.
  • Maintain the UniPoint Quality database software to include required revisions and updates to the system.
  • Review Quality and Manufacturing documentation to ensure it contains the necessary criteria and provisions to meet product specifications. If necessary, help to revise this documentation.
  • Facilitate SPC implementation. Interpret SPC data and other quality data/charts to determine if corrective/preventive action is necessary. Work with Process Engineering and Quality Manager to ensure timely distribution of Inspection Data and/or SPC information to affected Work Areas, and ensure that data collected is used to drive improvement. Help implement improvements as required.
  • Perform frequent process audits to ensure personnel and processes are following/meeting all MVP’s, MDP’s, BOM’s, Drawings, Flag Notes, Process Instructions and other documented requirements.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies; maintaining American Society of Quality control certified quality engineer qualification.
  • Manage/Supervise AS9102 First Article Inspections and related activities as needed. Ensure AS9102 system and records comply with all Company, Customer and AS9100 requirements.

Factor#2 – Supplier Management and Continual Improvement

 

Within the 6 months, be fully accountable for commodities assigned and daily tasks in Factor 1.  Total ownership of commodity includes quoting, Supplier management (OTD, Quality, Cost Reduction).  

  • Buyer able to review buy sheets and make decisions on sourcing and cost improvements
  • Establishing supplier report card and metrics; On Time Delivery (OTD), Quality, and Feedback
  • Maintain supplier relationship with commodity suppliers
  • Ensure timely effort and execution of RMA/RTV Process, Quality Issues, and Corrective and

Preventative Actions (CAPAs)

 

Factor#3 – System and Continual Improvement

 

Within the 12 months, be accountable for establishing and providing analysis for commodity assigned relating to OTD, Quality, cost Improvements.  Work with Lead or manager to setup goals and objectives for suppliers that are not meeting goal

  • Implement any changes/ enhancement noted in Factor #2
  • Participate in purchasing ongoing strategic planning / improvements
  • Contributing to internal and external cooperation between department / suppliers
  • Suggest system and opportunity for improvement
  • Ensure that you meet personal and departmental goals and objectives

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

Buyer I

  • Manage assigned commodities such as MRO, Shop Supplies, Passive, requisitions, etc.
  • Place purchase orders for goods and services. 
  • Material Order Confirmation: Respond to request from Material planning to obtain best material date, and availability for new and existing orders. 
  • Solicit price and delivery information from suppliers. 
  • Process RMA's and RTV’s. 
  • Follow-up on open purchase orders regarding to tickers, late report, paperwork issues, etc.
  • Plan and release purchases orders to secure material and services on an as needed basis
  • Evaluate supplier performance on cost, On-Time Delivery, Quality, and Lead-time
  • Customer Support - Communicate schedules and deadlines to all internal customers (Material Planning, Customer Account Managers) as needed.         
  • Work with Peer and or Leads to improve material best date, or issues related to material fulfillment
  • Take on special projects assigned by leads, or manager related to department goals or needs
  • Assist peers / leads based on workload as required

 

Buyer II:  Perform all requirements and responsibilities of Buyer I job description. Additional requirements will include a broader skillset or understanding of the supply chain process

  • Manage more complex commodities due to material risk, drawing configurations, etc.
  • Recommend sources of supply based on overall competitiveness
  • Work with lead or manager to negotiate betters terms/ contracts/ pricing/ lead-time with current suppliers
  • Quotation Development:  Respond to Request for Quotation packages as needed.  Track activity on Request for Quotation packages.  Participate, as needed, in development of quotation procedures.

Responsible for RMA’s from our customers.  Program mangers will notify Receiving Clerk of a return with a corresponding RMA # created in our system.  When receiving the return, receive in system, give returned product to QA, and notify Program Manager return has been received.

What you will learn:

The person taking the role of a Material Handler will learn all aspects of the department from receiving to kitting and releasing WO’s to the production floor. The many systems include Aptean ERP system, using Access databases daily to perform job duties, Microsoft Excel and Outlook. You will also learn to use our new and advanced technology storage systems such as Juki, Modula and Visiconsult X-ray parts counter. Not only will you learn to use the machine you will get an understanding of how all the systems work together.

Assembler I

Access and follow on-line documentation. Prep components by hand or utilizing equipment per documentation.  Identify component values. Pre-wave insert thru-hole components in pcb by hand. Hand-solder thru-hole components.   Verify work performed by your self and peers meet IPC standards.  Complete tasks within specified time or notify lead of inability to do so along with reason.

Assembler II

All functions required at Assembler I level.  Hand-solder SMT components.  Remove and replace thru-hole comp. without board damage.  Solder wires and cables.  Identify assembly and document issues.  Successfully complete J-Std. Training and IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies Training.

 Assembler III

All functions required at Assembler I and II levels.  Remove and replace SMT components without board damage.  Perform SMT rework.  Provide back-up support for lead in their absence.  Write ECO to have assembly and document issues corrected.  Complete NCP form when non-conforming product is identified.  Successfully complete IPC-7711/IPC-7721 Rework and Repair of Electronic Assemblies Training.

SMT Setup:  Under direct supervision, following SMT Daily Work Schedule, set up feeder per Qualitel Documentation.  Verify value of component in Kits and SBA components prior to installing component onto feeder. Ensure proper stencil is placed with kit. Print all Work Instructions/SMT Packet/Deviations/Quality Alerts to be included in the MVP Packet along with BOM for manufacturing.  Deviation (if included) to be recorded in note section of MVP. Mark kit as set up or ready.  Tear down feeders and return remaining components to SBA shelves or stockroom as required after build is complete.  Reports to SMT Lead.

 SMT OPERATOR I:  Demonstrate skill in all SMT setup pre-requisites plus: Under direct supervision train in Stencil Print Operations, Pick and Place Operation, Reflow Operation and AOI Operation.  AOI Operation to include training in 3090 3095, 3085. 3090/3095 will be trained by Quality Engineer.  Perform board washing when Material Handler is not on duty.  Reports to SMT Lead.  Training and IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies Training.

SMT OPERATOR IIDemonstrate skill in all SMT I pre-requisites plus: With limited supervision exhibit ability to perform 1st part verifications of all of these operations.  Perform routine daily machine maintenance.  Reports to SMT Lead.

 SMT OPERATOR III:  Demonstrate skill in all SMT II pre-requisites plus: With minimal supervision exhibit ability to perform semi-routine adjustments, troubleshooting, and quality auditing.  Reports to SMT Lead.

SMT LEAD:  Demonstrate master skill in all SMT III pre-requisites plus: Assist engineering with programming and troubleshooting of SMT machines.  Complete and maintain all required records.  Train all other SMT personnel in skills required to successfully complete required job functions.  Maintain organization and cleanliness of SMT work area.  Continually strive to develop ways to reduce costs and improve overall quality.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

TEST TECH I: Must have the ability to identify and understand the basic function of various electronic components, such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes, transistors, and IC's. Ability to operate basic Test Equipment (multi-meters, scopes, ATE's). Must demonstrate understanding of basic electronic theory (resistance, capacitance, Ohm's Law, etc.). Ability to perform basic troubleshooting of CCA failures caused by minor obvious manufacturing errors, such as solder bridges & opens, missing parts, backward components. Reports to Test Supervisor..

 TEST TECH II: Posses all the skills of Test Technician I as well as being able to demonstrate understanding of advanced electronic theory, such as amplifier gain, active and passive filter networks, Digital and logic circuitry, etc. Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot to the component level. Reports to Test Supervisor.

 TEST LEAD: Posses all the skills of Test Technician I and Test Technician II as well as being able to direct the work of others per the instructions and plans given to them by a Supervisor. Ability to handle minor employee H.R. issues (disputes, discipline to company policies/rules,etc.).
